Football match

Our U-19 soccer team took to the pitch this afternoon to play against St Brendan's Secondary school from Bel

mullet and what a match it was! St Brendans team dominated the first 10 minutes of the match with our team missing opportunities to score. With patient build up play Louisburgh worked an opening leading to David Groden scoring the first goal of the match. With rough play from the opposition team a yellow card was handed out. Then the whistle was blown for half time. John Grady and David Moran came on at half time replacing David Needham and Patrick O’Malley. Louisburgh tried to hold onto the lead for the second half but the St Brendan's team never gave up and got a goal with the last kick of the game. The game ended in a draw.
