On Thursday the senior girl’s football team travelled to Saint Michael’s school in Clare Morris. The game started with Clare Morris scoring a few points and goalkeeper Ruth Gibbons made a great save for Louisburgh denying them a goal. Louisburgh began to pull back scoring points. Saint Michael’s replied with a goal and a few points. Then Louisburgh went on a scoring spree scoring several points pulling it back. Just before half time Louisburgh got a goal making it level. Just after half time the team’s went over and back scoring points and Allana Duffy went off and Brona McDonnell went on for Louisburgh. Saint Michael’s got a goal making it 2-7 to 2-6 to them. A while after they got another goal, with Louisburgh replying with a goal also. Louisburgh scored a point by Sinead O’Reily. Eimear got injured and was taken off, Ava-Lynne Keane replaced her. It was back and over with points until full time with the score of 3-10 to 3-10 ending level. Well done to both teams!
