Last Wednesday was a bright sunny day. As part of their geography course , the first year students learn about the different rocks types. With the beach being so close the first years got to enjoy a brisk walk down to Caramore beach to examine rocks. The students were accompanied by several Geography teachers. When the students arrived at the beach they were split into groups and set about examining the rocks along the beach shore. They worked on a worksheet of questions which they bought with them on the trip. It was a great learning experience outside of the classroom which all the students enjoyed.
