TY musical

In preparation of a spectacular show the town hall is alive with "The Sound of Music” as it is occupied by the stage managers, cast, set design, construction, costume team and choreography in preperation for the annual school musical. The TY students are all hands on deck to make our musical as successful as its predecessors. This year the musical is 'The Sound Of Music', it’s famously known score of 'favourite things' and 'Do-Re-Mi' replicates the true story of the Von-Trapp family. It is set in the era of pre-World War 2 where Maria Rainer is sent from the Abbey to be a governess to a family of seven children and widower, Captain Georg von-trapp. She brings music back into the restricted family, still suffering from the loss of their mother. They escape the reality of the Anschluss and German orders in the mountains of Austria.

Our director Ms Gill has carefully chosen a brilliant cast and this production is taking place in the town hall Louisburgh on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of February 2018.

Please come along to our show. The tickets are on sale in Durkan's, Duffy’s bookshop and Sancta Maria College.
